The Chronic Care Center is a medico-social institution, specialized in the treatment and follow-up of childhood chronic diseases: Thalassemia and Type I Diabetes.

Visit of three distinguished guests: H.E. Minister of Public Health, Dr. Rakan Nasreddine, H.E. Mrs. Leila El Solh Hamade and Mrs. Sahar Baasiri Salam, wife of the Prime Minister.

On September 9, 2025, H.E. Minister of Public Health, Dr. Rakan Nasreddine, H.E. Mrs. Leila El Solh Hamade and Mrs. Sahar Baasiri Salam, wife of the Prime Minister were received by the Center’s President Mrs. Mouna Haraoui and the executive board.
They toured the Thalassemia and Diabetes departments to learn more about our services, and they met with the medical and paramedical team and were welcomed with nice words and testimonies from patients with Thalassemia and Type 1 Diabetes.
The Minister pledged to renew collaboration and support the Center, which follows up with more than 3,500 patients, by providing medications and sponsoring Bone Marrow Transplants, a final cure for some patients with Thalassemia.
H.E. Mrs. El Solh Hamade reaffirmed her continuous support through the Walid Bin Talal Foundation, and Mrs. Salam expressed her pride at having such a Center of Excellence in Lebanon,
